Happy Tuesday! It is always fun when we see a bride's vision come to life right before our eyes! This week, we are looking at a bride we had the privilege of working with last December. She decided, in honor of the holidays, to host a "family style" meal. We have seen this type of meal more and more lately, and we love it.
A "family style" meal is really just what it sounds like. All of your friends and family sit down and pass around the chosen dishes from person to person. Think of it like you're all gathering around a dinner table at home.
In order to make this meal a reality, we came up with a floorpan that connected everyone together. The wedding was set at Spain Ranch, and their flexible space allowed for us to play with the length of each table. We ended up being able to fit about 20-30 people at each setting.
When dinner service starts, each course is placed at the head of the tables, and then passed down. It was so fun to hear the guests say "can you pass the potatoes?" while giggling over dinner.
What do you think of this idea? It's very different from your average buffet or plated meal, but is certainly a fun way to switch things up!
