What we've been up to at EB2!

We had the absolute privledge of teaming up with Redeemed Productions, and an amazing group of vendors, to coordinate a styled shoot at the BEAUTIFUL Southwind Hills Barn Venue. Here's what we had to say about the shoot, and more about the amazing vendors who helped turn this day into complete magic!

Needless to say, we had a blast styling this inspirational shoot at the gorgeous Southwind Hills to showcase their newest venue spot, The Chapel. The color scheme we used was a deep blue teal color matched with accents of copper and white. Our inspiration for this look came from the gorgeous vintage couch that we used for the bride and groom’s seats at the head table.  The custom built copper tall stand that held that floral arrangements, handmade by Southwind Hills Floral Design Team, is a unique modern take on a traditional centerpiece. We just loved the contrasting look with the dark mahogany farm table. Place settings were white plates on copper chargers and flatware, adorned with cute custom cut name plates for each guest. Fun and unique glassware is a current trend that we incorporated with the ornate blue stemware and Moscow Mule mugs. Cake spreads are so much more fun than the traditional tall tiered wedding cake. Brown Egg Bakery knocked this look out of the park!  The macaroon topped ice cream cones are adorable and a different addition to a dessert table. Good Measure Creative designed the custom invitation suite to match, using the teal in a watercolor effect.  he ceremony setup style we went with was romantic and soft, inspired by the gorgeous custom wedding gown, designed by Sonni at Bridal Couture. We lined the aisle with sheer fabric intertwined with vases filled with a variety of greenery.  The same copper floral stands were used at the altar surrounded by soft sheer criss-cross draping. Loved the look of the chapel with traditional pew seating and dark wood beams!

Styled shoots are always such a fun way for our team and the other vendors to show off our creativity and explore some looks outside the box!  We hope this will inspire your dream wedding, too!

Trending Tuesday: Alternative Meals

Happy Tuesday! It is always fun when we see a bride's vision come to life right before our eyes! This week, we are looking at a bride we had the privilege of working with last December. She decided, in honor of the holidays, to host a "family style" meal. We have seen this type of meal more and more lately, and we love it.

A "family style" meal is really just what it sounds like. All of your friends and family sit down and pass around the chosen dishes from person to person. Think of it like you're all gathering around a dinner table at home.

In order to make this meal a reality, we came up with a floorpan that connected everyone together. The wedding was set at Spain Ranch, and their flexible space allowed for us to play with the length of each table. We ended up being able to fit about 20-30 people at each setting.

When dinner service starts, each course is placed at the head of the tables, and then passed down. It was so fun to hear the guests say "can you pass the potatoes?" while giggling over dinner.

What do you think of this idea? It's very different from your average buffet or plated meal, but is certainly a fun way to switch things up!

Trending Tuesday - Farm Tables

Happy Tuesday to all of our past, current, and prospective brides out there! We hope your week is off to a great start! This week's Trending Tuesday is dedicated to one of our dearly beloved trends, farm tables! I think one reason we adore these types of tables so much is because they are SO versatile! We've used them for black tie weddings as well as more casual, intimate affairs They can be dressed up, or left simple, and the exposed wood look works well with ANY color pallet.

Here is a look at some of the ways we've incorporated farm tables into our brides' perfect day!
