Styled Shoot with Bridal Couture by Sonni

We were so honored to participate in a shoot debuting Bridal Couture by Sonni's newest line of custom wedding dresses. Each gown featured at the Tel Aviv photo shoot was absolutely to die for. We always recommend to our brides that if they are looking for a hand crafted, completely customized dress made with exclusive luxurious fabrics, Sonni is your gal! You can find more of her talent and amazing designs here.

From a design aspect, Sonni had visions of a modern day tea party setting. With a setting like Spain Ranch, you can really pull anything off! We were excited to bring Sonni's modern day tea party dreams to life! We recruited the help of Tasha Bartholic with TK Weddings and Events Decor. Tasha has such a unique eye for florals, and an extensive knowledge of rental decor. She curated the perfect color combinations for our tabletop, as well as the hanging accent piece for the backdrop of the dress photos.

We knew we wanted a touch of vintage pieces on our tabletop, and Party Perfect made this possible with their mix-matched china. We placed boutique style cupcakes by FrOSTEN's inside of the teacups, which was just SO. CUTE. FrOSTEN's always takes our cake dreams to the next level, and completely blew us away with this whimsical design. You can check out more of their designs here!

Alex with Prairie Letter Shop designed the stationary suite, as well as place cards for the shoot. We can't say enough good things about Alex. She is extremely talented and just a gem to work with! Alex specializes in calligraphy, brush lettering, and is an amazing artist. You will just have to check out her creative talents here and see for yourself!

As always, it was such a pleasure working with Ash Franke Styles and Atherial Beauty! Aside from being complete magic makers, their spirits are so sweet and we always love referring our brides to them! Moment of appreciation for this hair and makeup because it was GORG!

It was such an amazing day working with different creatives around the Tulsa area! Again, thank you to Sonni Jackson with Bridal Couture by Sonni for the invitation to contribute to this flawless shoot! A special thank you to Amanda Bringham with Picturesque Photos by Amanda for all of the stunning images captured throughout the day!

Styled Shoot at Janeway Castle Stone Estate & Venue

What a fun day/night this was! Janeway Castle Stone Estate & Venue is a brand new venue in Sand Springs, Oklahoma! We had the privilege of reuniting with The Janeways when they asked us to play a part in their very first styled shoot! (We helped their venue manager, Ashlynn, plan her wedding two years ago!) This is such a unique venue that your wedding party can rent for an entire weekend! Say what! The venue comes complete with a honeymoon suite that is to die for, pool and hot tub, theater, and the absolute cutest bridesmaids room and quarters. The bride even has a PRIVATE dressing room. No joke, this place has it all!

When it came down to the design aspect of the shoot, we knew we wanted to keep things simple, as to not take away from the venue itself. The reception space has gorgeous chandeliers and stern wooden beams that we knew would look stunning next to marble. BBJ Linens had this absolutely amazing marble linen that we used for the head table, accompanied with glass chargers and copper flatware. We have a thing for copper...if you didn't know ;)

We have been looking for a reason to use our newest obsession, VELVET! The shoot gave us a great excuse to try out our vision with BBJ's gray velvet linens, pictured on the cocktail tables. We are STILL obsessing over the florals provided by The French Bouquet. I mean really, just look at those trees! Florals and lighting, as we all know, can totally take your design and space to another level, and The French Bouquet and Integrity Lighting helped do just that!

Redeemed Productions was the mastermind behind the camera lens and provided us with these sneak peaks! The super talented FrOSTEN's designed the cakes you see below! Whew! What a team! Thank you all for featuring your talents!

So, brides, make sure you check out Janeway Castle Stone Estate & Venue when doing all your venue research! We would love to join you there!

June Recap

Wow! What a great (and busy) June it was! Each one of our couples were a breeze to work with! We had the best time planning, coordinating, and getting to know each and every one of them! Here is a look back on our month of June, and a sprinkle of the beauty it contained!

Amanda and Justin Fobes

Amanda and Justin were probably the most laid back couple we've ever worked with! Amanda was so trusting in all of our advice, and though we met a little later in the planning process, completely let go of all the craziness and truly enjoyed her big day! Amanda and Justin may have had half the college campus of Oklahoma State University at their reception! Even Pistol Pete joined in on the fun! Their wedding at the GORGEOUS Sparrow in Stillwater, Oklahoma was definitely one to remember! photo curtesy of Averi Blackmon photography

Mackenzie and Andrew Thompson

Mackenzie and Andrew were one of our Full Planning couples from June! We started our relationship with them from the very beginning of their planning process, and it was so fun to see their hopes and dreams come to life! Mackenzie was so hands on in the design phase of this wedding, even hand making some of her centerpieces! We love when brides add personal touches to their day like that! Their reception was one big party, and we were so thankful to play a part! Best wishes to these two!

Kelly and Jonathan Buck

Guys! Kelly and Jonathan were s t u n n i n g! Seriously, kelly's TWO dresses were both completely breath taking! Their day at the gorgeous Spain Ranch was beautiful from head to toe. They went with an all white color pallet and it was beyond gorgeous! Jonathan was so fun to work with as a groom! He made our job even easier by designing a custom floor plan for these two! We have never seen a more detailed floor plan, and it was so cool to see his profession at work. The love between these two is just so contagious. and their entire day was a dream! Photo curtesy of Redeemed Productions

Well, that's all folks! Though it was an amazing June, we are looking forward to our sweet July + August couples and all their detail-to-dreams moments!

It is a complete joy to know and work with each and every one of you! Whether we have spent months designing your perfect day, or were just with you for the day-of your wedding, know you will always have a special place in EB2's heart!

Trending Tuesday: Wedding Cakes!

Let's talk about something sweet this week! We are LOVING the "cake spread" trend these days. It wasn't until recently that we got to see one of our sweet brides bring this trend to life at her wedding, and we were swept off our feet! Cake spreads are so fun, and a great way to incorporate different styles and flavors and filings, oh my! We paired our spread with donuts from Livi Lees and it's safe to say they were a huge hit! Thank you to Frostens Bakery for the amazing design and idea concepts. The cakes tasted just as good (if not better) than they looked!

Trending Tuesday: Sparkler Grand Exits

This week's Trending Tuesday is dedicated to the party ending. The night is done, and you are MARRIED! Your friends and family are ready to send you off to honeymoon bliss! But wait, how should we make our exit just as grand as our entrance? Enter sparklers.

Sparkler exits are always so much fun! They make for beautiful pictures, and are (somewhat) easy to execute. As wedding planners, we get to see the fun side of sparkler exits, and the NOT so fun side. So, we have put together a few helpful hints to make sure your sparkler exit is just as grand as you always hoped it be!

Hint #1 - If you want people to stick around and participate in the sparkler exit, put a few fun signs out like this one:

Hint # 2 - Have someone coordinate the send off
If you aren't using a wedding coordinator ( * cough cough ) you will definitely want to designate someone you trust to execute this event. When the drinks have been flowing all night, you will definitely want someone to help heard the crowd and pass out the sparklers. Trust us.

Hint #3 - Have a GIANT source of water for guests to extinguish their flames
Guests will try to drop them and step on them and (again, trust us) it doesn't work. Having a source of water for guests to just drop the sparkler in is the better (and safer) route!

Hint #4 - Take on down and pass it around
After lighting the first few guests in each line sparklers, have them turn to their neighbor and light their sparkler with the original flame. This helps move the process along quickly!

Hint #5 - Do not let the guests sword fight with the sparklers
If you are worried about this, see hint #2.
